Ontario Grain & Oilseed Crisis Update (June 14, 2005)

Information sessions to unveil G & O Risk Management Program
Ontario grain & oilseed producers are invited to attend information sessions in locations across the province for an unveiling of the Ontario Grain & Oilseed Safety Net Committee's Risk Management Program (RMP). The Committee is proposing the RMP as a replacement for the now completed MRI program and to address the shortfalls of the CAIS program for grain and oilseed producers. The proposed RMP has been endorsed by the Directors of all 7 grain and oilseed commodity Boards in Ontario. It is imperative that growers help us lobby the government for funding for this program.
