The Ontario Grain and Oilseed groups hosted a reception at Queen's Park on November 15, 2005 for the Ontario MPPs.

Representatives from Ontario's grain and oilseed commodity groups, agricultural industry, other agricultural organizations and producers discussed with MPPs the issues faced by the grains and oilseeds sector, and the need for long term solutions to provide stability to agriculture and the rural economy. The Risk Management Program (RMP), developed by Ontario's grain and oilseed farmers, is a long-term solution to make CAIS work more effectively for the grains and oilseeds sector. The RMP fits withi the overall objective of Farmers Feed Cities to double Ontario agriculture's share of the provincial budget from 0.7% to 1.4%.
