OCPA Announces Staff Addition
Ryan Brown

The Ontario Corn Producers' Association (OCPA) is very pleased to welcome Ryan Brown to the staff of OCPA. Ryan joins the Management Team in the position of Production Issues Manager. Ryan was raised on a cash crop and mixed livestock farm in Kent County. After high school, Ryan attended the University of Guelph and completed his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a major in Agronomy, which had an emphasis on crop science. Ryan spent about five years working in the seed industry and decided to further his education at the University of Guelph. He is currently completing his Masters of Business Administration at the University of Guelph. In the role of Production Issues Manager, Ryan will be working with OCPA Directors and Ontario corn producers on issues on the "farm side of the farm gate." Some of these issues will include biotechnology relating to primary production; environmental stewardship including soil, water, emissions and air quality issues; pesticides, herbicides and insecticides; nutrient management act; and research as it relates to the "farm side of the farm gate."
Welcome to OCPA Ryan.
