2005 January & February Meetings For County Corn Producers' Associations

Annual Meeting dates, times and places for the county and regional corn producers' associations, affiliated with OCPA, are listed here.
Elections will also take place for county executive positions, and for delegates to the OCPA annual convention on March 7-9. Where regional meetings are held, a regional director will also be elected.
These meetings, which are open to all corn producers, are vital in providing grassroots support and direction to OCPA, and should prove very worthwhile to those who attend. Please bring your spouse and neighbour with you.
VOTING AT COUNTY AND REGIONAL MEETINGS
Up to three members or shareholders of partnerships or incorporated farms may vote at county and regional meetings as described below.
Each member who produces corn within a region or sub-region shall have the right to vote at the corresponding meetings of the region or sub-region. There shall be one vote per sole proprietor member. Partnership members may authorize up to three partners to vote, including the partnership entity. Corporation or co-operative members may authorize up to three corporation shareholders or co-operative members to vote, including the corporation or cooperative entity. Such partners, corporate shareholders or co-operative members must be present at the meeting in order to exercise their vote. Where a member is other than a sole proprietor, partnership, corporation or co-operative, such members shall be entitled to a maximum of three votes, with such votes being cast by authorized individuals present at the meeting. Voting shall not be by proxy. In any event, no individual shall be entitled to cast more than one vote at any meeting.
PROCEDURE FOR AUTHORIZING MORE THAN ONE VOTE Partnerships, corporations, co-operatives or other entities that wish to authorize more than one vote at the 2004 county and regional meetings must:
i) send a letter to OCPA, 90 Woodlawn Road West, Guelph, Ontario N1H 1B2 -which designates authorized individuals for voting purposes, OR
ii) bring such a letter to the county and/or regional meeting.
